In the early days of his career, Mr. Roy worked in various capacities at Tata Refractories Limited and Tata Steel Ltd including Project and Corporate Planning cells. A marketer, innovator and international entrepreneur, Mr. Roy, over the years, has successfully promoted several companies in various sectors including education, import-export, software development and metal reclamation.

With his immense technological experience and knowhow, he single-handedly developed a unique 'zero waste' technology that provides green solutions to all major oil refineries and hydrocarbon industries for the disposal of their spent catalysts. The unique proprietary technology, one of its kind, recovers a diverse range of Noble metal compounds and Ferro Alloys containing Vanadium, Molybdenum, Tungsten, Nickel, Cobalt etc. from wastes (Spent / used Catalyst) generated from Petroleum Industry.

In 1995, he founded Refracast Metallurgical (P) Ltd (REFMET) as a metal reclamation facility that provides green solutions to over 21 major oil refineries in the country and processes over 8000 MT of spent catalysts per annum.

In 2000, he co-founded Disha Online, an IT and software company which was way ahead of its times.

In 2001, he delved into the education sector for developing proficiency and skill for the advancement of rural India. He co-founded Disha College and Disha Institute of Management and Technology (DIMAT), the first of its kind academic institution and research centre in the state.

In 2004, he co-promoted Disha Academy of Research and Development (DARE) for fundamental and Industry oriented research with joint projects with Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India and REFMET.

In 2005, as owner and chairman Mr. Roy promoted Reflux Metals and Alloys Pvt Ltd which is engaged in Exports / Imports of Minerals, Metals & Ores & also offer technical services in India & abroad.

In 2015, Mr. Roy co-promoted MTT Technologies Ltd in Canada to provide his unique technology of spent catalyst recycling and metal reclamation to Canadian and US refineries, adding value to economy, environment and employment generation in Canada.

Mr. Roy has been continuing in the development and implementing of his practical experience and expertise in the field of material science, hydrometallurgy, and energy in various industries. With him, innovation knows no bounds and his vision is to strive for a better and sustainable future and a 'Green Earth'.

He started his splendid career as a steel maker with FACOR STEELS LIMITED, one of the pioneers of stainless-steel manufacturing in India. He started as a trainee and soon rose to the position of Head Operations owing to his hard work, innovative ideas and leadership. He was instrumental in the development of various grades of alloy steels and stainless steels which ultimately helped his organization to reach a pinnacle.

Since 2006 he has been involved in developing low cost alternative raw materials for Steel industries, guiding the industries to increase their profitability, set up, stabilize and process improvement through his association with many large scale and midscale steel producers. Today, he is rightfully a respectable name in the steel fraternity.

In his early days, Mr. Agrawal was involved in selling consumables to Ferrous and Non-Ferrous industries as a Graduate Engineer trainee. He eventually rose to the post of General Manager Marketing before giving up the same to enter the business of producing low cost alternative raw materials for steel industries.

During this period, he developed a very good rapport with key personnel at various levels of steel industries in India. He was instrumental in introducing various products from China andthe innovative and cost-effective products being developed at REFMET to Indian Steel industries. He played a key role in introducing cheaper and alternative consumables like Ferro Alloys & refractories from China to Indian Steel industries helping them in reducing their overall cost with cost effective solutions.
